Virtual Slam FAQs
Questions about the virtual cycle
Twelve things people ask about the Procam Virtual Slam — the entry, the app, the cut-offs and the medal.
Do I have to register separately for the Procam Virtual Slam?
No. There is no separate Virtual Slam registration and no separate fee. You register and pay for each of the four feature virtual races individually, and the cycle is tracked from those entries.
Which races count towards a Virtual Slam?
Only the feature virtual race of each event: the Virtual Half Marathon at the Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon 2026, the Virtual 25K at the Tata Steel World 25K Kolkata 2026, the Virtual Marathon at the Tata Mumbai Marathon 2027 and the Virtual 10K at the TCS World 10K Bengaluru 2027. The Virtual 5K and the shorter virtual categories do not count.
Can I start with any of the four virtual races?
Yes. You may begin at any of the four events, but you must then complete the remaining three consecutively with no gap.
What happens if I miss one of the four?
The Virtual Slam is treated as incomplete and you must recommence from the first eligible event of the next cycle. A gap means failing to register, failing to complete the distance, finishing outside the race window, finishing outside the cut-off, or being disqualified under the event's virtual race rules.
Why do my name and date of birth matter?
Your four entries are linked by matching registration details, so the same name and date of birth must be used across all four registrations for the cycle to be tracked.
Which app do I have to use?
The official HDOR App for that event. Strava, Garmin or an Apple Watch may be used as a secondary tracker provided it is integrated with HDOR. HDOR is the single source of truth, and manually entered activities are never accepted.
Can I run on a treadmill, or cycle the distance?
No. Qualifying virtual races must be completed by running and/or walking only. Treadmill runs, cycling and other modes of movement are not valid.
Can I pause during the run?
Yes. You may pause as often as you need — elapsed time from start to finish is what counts — but the run must be completed inside 24 hours of starting and inside the official race window.
Does an on-ground race I run elsewhere count?
It can. Completing an official on-ground race anywhere in the world during the virtual race window counts if you record it on the HDOR app and comply with the virtual race rules, subject to verification.
What do I get for completing all four?
An exclusive Procam Virtual Slam Medal, couriered to your registered postal address within 30 days of completing the fourth race. Any address change must be notified to Procam at least 14 days before that fourth finish.
Does a Virtual Slam count towards the on-ground Procam Slam?
No. The two are independent programmes and completing one does not qualify you for the other. A virtual race finisher certificate is also not accepted as a qualifying timing certificate for on-ground events that require one.
What does it cost?
Each of the four virtual races is INR 599 for entrants in India or USD 50 overseas, so a full cycle is roughly INR 2,396 or USD 200 at published rates. There is no additional Slam fee.
Answers are compiled from the Procam Virtual Slam information and guidelines pages and the virtual run FAQs on the Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata event sites. They are not authenticated. For the on-ground programme, see the Procam Slam FAQs.
